Learning and Development

We invest in people, not just roles.

At We Do Your Group, learning isn’t something that stops when you get the job. We’re a group built on the belief that people grow when they’re supported, challenged, and trusted — and that a team that keeps developing is a team that keeps delivering. Whether you’re working towards a certification, picking up new skills on the job, or being mentored by someone who’s been doing this for years, there’s always a next step here if you want one.

Learning that fits your role

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to development here. What you learn and how you learn it depends on where you sit in the group, what you’re working towards, and what the business needs. That makes it more relevant, more practical, and more useful than a generic training catalogue.

Service desk & technical

You’ll build deep product and platform knowledge from day one, with support to develop your technical skills as you grow in confidence. Certifications in your area — whether that’s Microsoft, networking, cyber security, or something more specialist — are actively encouraged and supported.

Marketing & creative

The marketing landscape changes fast and we keep pace with it. You’ll have the space to develop your skills across digital, content, design, and strategy — with support for relevant qualifications and professional development where it makes sense.

Management & leadership

We support our managers to develop as leaders, not just operators. Whether that’s through formal qualifications, peer learning, or working directly with Rob and the senior team, there’s real investment in making sure the people who lead here are equipped to do it well.

Certifications and qualifications

We encourage everyone in the group to keep learning and developing their professional credentials. Relevant certifications vary by role and brand — from Microsoft and CompTIA to CMI and beyond — but the principle is the same everywhere: if you want to develop, we’ll back you.

If there’s something specific you’d like to work towards, talk to us. We’ll look at what’s possible and do what we can to support you — whether that’s funding, study time, or both. We won’t promise yes to everything, but we’ll always have the conversation.

We also carry out internal training programmes and work hard to upskill the team as a whole, making sure everyone has access to the knowledge and tools they need to do their job brilliantly.

One of the things I'm most proud of is watching people grow here. We've had people join us at the start of their careers and go on to do things they never thought were possible. That doesn't happen by accident — it happens because we take development seriously and we back people when they put their hand up.

Mentorship

Mentorship is the M in FAMILY — and that’s not an accident. It’s a genuine commitment to the idea that experienced people have a responsibility to bring others along with them.

Structured mentorship

For some roles and at key points in your career with us, you’ll have access to a structured mentorship arrangement — regular one-to-ones, clear goals, and someone invested in helping you get there.

Informal mentorship

Day to day, the culture here is one where people share what they know. Nobody guards their expertise. If you’re stuck, someone will help. If you’re trying to learn something new, someone will point you in the right direction. That informal knowledge-sharing is one of the things people notice most when they join us.

Apprenticeships

We offer apprenticeships when roles come up across the group — a brilliant way to earn while you learn and build a real career from the ground up. Apprentices at WDYG get the same support, the same culture, and the same genuine investment in their development as everyone else in the team.

Keep an eye on our open roles page for apprenticeship opportunities, or get in touch if you’d like to find out more.

Progression that means something

Learning here isn’t just about collecting certificates. It’s about building a career you’re proud of. Louis joined the group as a consultant and is now AI & Technology Manager — that kind of progression happens here because we promote from within, trust people to grow into bigger roles, and make sure the support is there to make it happen.

Want to keep growing?

If you’re looking for somewhere that’ll genuinely invest in your development — not just say they will — we’d love to hear from you.
