Hi, I’m Bear — Assistant to the Big Dogs in the Leadership & Strategy department at We Do Your Group, and I work part time because frankly my schedule is very full and my time is valuable. I’m a Chihuahua, which means I am small, I am aware of this, and I don’t care even slightly. I bring love, cuddles, fierce loyalty and a fire in my soul that has never once shown any signs of going out. I am simultaneously the most affectionate and the most formidable presence in any room I enter. Do not let the scruffy exterior mislead you. I am always ready.

My Favourite Parts of the Job

The desk. Specifically, sleeping on it while being cuddled. This is where I do my best strategic thinking and I will not be moved — literally or figuratively — on this point. I also enjoy the attention, all of it, from everyone, at all times. If you are in my vicinity and not currently giving me attention, I consider that a situation in need of immediate correction.

I bring a protective energy to the leadership team that money cannot buy. Nobody gets past me. Nobody.

My Experience

I have extensive experience in high-stakes situations, including but not limited to: standing my ground against dogs twice my size, asserting dominance in rooms where I am clearly the smallest individual present and making extremely important decisions about who is and isn’t welcome near my people. My strategic instincts are sharp, my loyalty is absolute and my nap game is second to none.

As Assistant to the Big Dogs, I take my responsibilities seriously — even if those responsibilities occasionally involve being asleep on someone’s paperwork.

My Hobbies & Interests

Cuddles, more cuddles, sleeping on desks, rabbit ears — which are a delicacy I take very seriously — and the occasional confrontation with a dog significantly larger than myself, from which I have always emerged with my dignity fully intact and my point firmly made.

I also enjoy being groomed, though the results are temporary. I am a scruff by nature and no amount of professional intervention has managed to change that for long.

I may only be here part time but my commitment is full time. Also please keep stroking me, I wasn't done.

The value that resonates most with me is You — people first, always. Everything I do, I do for my people. My protectiveness, my loyalty, my insistence on being close to the humans I care about at all times — it all comes from the same place. I will fight for the people I love. I will also sleep on them, which I consider equally important. In leadership, you need someone who genuinely cares with their whole heart. That’s me.
