Understand Your Google Ads Marketing Activity

Our analytics dashboard is designed to help you to understand what is going on with your google ads and, therefore, how you can make changes to marketing activity to increase conversions. This matches up with the website analytics dashboard to give a complete overview of what is happening on your site.

Choose Date

Here you can adjust the time period for which the website is being viewed.

Ads Performance Overview

These stats allow you to see the following in clear numbers.

 

  1. Impressions – This is the total number of people who have seen the ads.
  2. Clicks – This is the total number of people who have clicked on the ads.
  3. Click Through Rate – This is the percentage of people who have clicked the ads.
  4. Impression Share – This is the total percentage of impressions your ad is receiving from the selected keywords.
  5. Avg. Cost Per Click – How much each click costs you.
  6. Cost – How much these ads have cost within the last period.

 

These numbers are based on the timescales within the top right and are compared to the previous period.

Number Of Clicks From Ads

This is the graph of the number of people who have clicked on the ad and visited the landing pages within the time period set in the top right. 

 

This is useful for understanding traffic patterns within the data. For example, less clicks on the weekend because there are fewer shoppers.

Cost For Each Click

This is the graph of how much each click is costing you day by day within the time period set in the top right.

 

This should help you to see whether the ad is performing well or not.

VS Competitors

This table will allow you to see how your website compares to your competitors within the same subset of keywords you are targetting within the time period set in the top right.

 

  1. % Of Impressions – This is the total percentage of impressions your ad is receiving from the selected keywords.
  2. % Ads Cross Over – This is the percentage of times their ads have been shown at the same time as your own.
  3. % At The Top Of Page – This is the percentage that your website is shown as the first ad result.

 

Being able to see how well your ads are doing vs your competitors will allow you to benchmark your ads.

Number Of Clicks From Ads (Granular)

This data table allows you to see the individual performance of each keyword.

 

  1. Clicks – This is the total number of people who have clicked on the ads.
  2. Avg. Cost Per Click – How much each click costs you.
  3. Impressions – This is the total number of people who have seen the ads.
  4. Click Through Rate – This is the percentage of people who have clicked the ads.
  5. Cost – How much these ads have cost within the last period.

 

These numbers are dependant on the timescales set within the top right.
